About Us

Little Hounds Pet Services offers friendly, reliable dog walking and pet sitting in Penenden Heath and surrounding villages, giving peace of mind to owners.

This small, dedicated local business was set up in September 2025 by me – Moira Mitchell – after a long career working for charities, the public sector and the media.

Whilst I really enjoyed working for these organisations, I felt the time was right to embrace a fresh chapter in my mid-fifties and decided to turn my lifelong love of animals into a profession.

Now I pride myself on providing caring, reliable support for pets and their owners and run Little Hounds alongside working as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice.

At Little Hounds I specialise in caring for small and medium-sized dogs, offering both solo and small-group walks tailored to individual needs. I also provide sitting services and pop-in visits, primarily for dogs and puppies, in Penenden Heath and surrounding Maidstone areas.

Other small furry companions can be cared for too, depending on their individual requirements.

Clients can feel confident that their pets are always in safe, experienced hands as I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS check, and am certified in Pet First Aid.

I also have two dogs of my own, Mila who’s an elderly Border Terrier Cross and Mabel, a mouthy Miniature Dachshund! Throughout my life I’ve been constantly surrounded my animals too, owning a West Highland Terrier, loads of cats, hamsters and rabbits so clients can rest assured that their pets are in safe, loving hands.
